FORMULA E: THE NEXT DOUBLE HEADER

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship triple double header in Berlin continues with the eighth and ninth rounds of the season on the circuit in the German capital. With only a one-day break after the season restart, the Formula E grid will be lining up again on Saturday and Sunday, August 8–9. For Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler, as well as drivers Lucas di Grassi and René Rast, it will be yet another chance to race on home soil, before they head into the final double header two days later, completing six races within nine days.

RACE FACTS

Berlin is the only city to appear on the Formula E calendar in all six seasons. With one exception, the race has always been and continues to be held at the former Tempelhof airport that perfectly fits Formula E with its historic backdrop and compact premises. In 2020, the venue will see the restart and conclusion of the sixth Formula E season and will feature different layout configurations for the three double headers in August.

As far as the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team goes: in 2018, Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi achieved a day that has been unique to date: victory, second place, pole position and the fastest race lap. One year later, Lucas di Grassi was victorious and also set a new lap record.
