The Audi A5 Sportback g-tron – a five-door family car with an innovative natural gas drive. The drive technology behind the term g-tron harnesses compressed natural gas (CNG). Burning CNG produces low amounts of particulates. With its CNG tank volume of 17.3 kg, the A5 Sportback g-tron offers a maximum range of 420–455 kilometres (NEDC figures for 17–20-inch wheels). If the supply of gas starts running low, the vehicle automatically switches to reserve mode with petrol.
